Frontiers Journal of Anatomical Variations (FJAV)  is an open-access academic and professional journal affiliated to the FM Publishers. The Editorial Board of the FJAV have complete control over the editorial content of the Journal and the Journal is currently published twice in a year.

FJAV encourages theoretical and empirical research in the field of Human Anatomy and Research. All the manuscripts submitted for publication are subjected to a thorough double-blind peer-review process. Individuals that are keen on joining the Editorial Board should contact the Editorial office.

Thomas R. Gest (Editor in Chief)

Dr. Thomas Gest is aProfessor of Anatomy at the University of Houston College of Medicine, havingrecently stepped down as Professor and Chair of the Foundational Sciences Discipline at Central Michigan University College of Medicine.  Dr. Gest has served as a member of theFederative International Programme for Anatomical Terminology since 2012.  Currently, he serves as the Coordinator ofthe Gross and Clinical Anatomy Working Group of FIPAT, overseeing the completionof the second edition of Terminologia Anatomica, the first revision ofanatomical terminology in over two decades. Dr. Gest serves as Co-editor for the journal Clinical Anatomy and servedas Treasurer of the American Association of Clinical Anatomists until recently becomingPresident-Elect of AACA.

Dr. Abdelmonem A. Hegazy is currently working as Professor of Human Anatomy and Embryology, Faculty of Medicine, Zagazig University & College of Biotechnology, Misr University for Science & Technology (MUST), Egypt.  He is also a Consultant of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Infertility. He is the former chairman of the Anatomy and Embryology Department, Faculty of Medicine, Zagazig University (Egypt); and Professor in King Saud and Majmaah Universities (KSA) 2009-2013 and Misurata, Faculty of Medicine (Libya) 2000.

Associate Professor of the Department of Human Anatomy, Belarus

Dzmitry Valchkevich graduated from the Medical University in Grodno (Belarus) in 2001. Has received the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences (PhD) for the study of anatomical features of the arteries of pelvis in human (2005). Since 2007 - an Associate Professor of Human Anatomy. In 2013-2015, was the Head of the Department of Human Anatomy. During last 5 years, has about 80 scientific and educational publications, 4 manuals for students on human anatomy. The teaching interests include human anatomy, physiology and histology.
