Dr. Rajendra D. Badgaiyan, MD, is a psychiatrist and cognitive neuroscientist. He is Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Richmond University Medical Center, and Professor of Psychiatry at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. He received formal training in psychiatry, psychology, cognitive neuroscience, molecular imaging and neuroimaging. He was awarded the prestigious BK Anand National Research Prize in India and Solomon Award of Harvard Medical School. His research is focused on the study of neural and neurochemical mechanisms that control human brain functions. He developed the single scan dynamic molecular imaging technique (SDMIT) to detect, map, and measure neurotransmitters released acutely in the human brain during task performance. This technique is now used in laboratories all over the world. Using this technique, he studies dopaminergic control of human cognition and behavior. He is also interested in learning the nature of dysregulated dopamine neurotransmission in psychiatric and neuropsychiatric conditions. His research is funded by NIMH, NINDS, VA, and various foundations. Previously he served in the faculty of Harvard Medical School, SUNY Buffalo and University of Minnesota. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Roosy Aulakh is an Associate Professor in Department of Pediatrics at Government Medical College & Hospital, Chandigarh, India. She graduated from the same hospital and received the Best Graduate Award along with twelve gold and seven silver medals for excelling in academics from Panjab University, Chandigarh in 2002. She completed her post-graduation in Pediatrics from Christian Medical College (CMC), Ludhiana and topped the list of successful post graduates students in Baba Farid University, Faridkot, Punjab, India in 2006. She did her Residency in Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, India from 2007 to June 2011. Thereafter, she continued as Senior Research Associate (under Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, New Delhi) in Pediatric Neurology at PGIMER and joined as regular faculty in Government Medical College & Hospital, Chandigarh, India in Aug 2011. She did her Fellowship in Neurological Rehabilitation from Medvarsity, Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad and currently runs Pediatric Neurology and Pediatric Neurocysticercosis clinics weekly. She worked as Secretary of Indian Academy of Pediatrics Chandigarh Branch (2014-2015) and organized multiple conferences and workshops. She has completed numerous research projects including one on Unwanted Sexual Experiences amongst adolescents funded by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi. She has numerous national and international publications to her credit. She is currently a member of the Editorial Board of several peer-reviewed scientific journals such as International Journal of Pediatric Research, Scholars Journal of Applied Medical Sciences, Scholars Journal of Medical Case Reports and Indian Journal of Case Reports. She is currently a reviewer of many esteemed international journals including Journal of Pediatric Neurology, BMJ Case Reports, Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine, BMC Pregnancy & Childbirth and Journal of Clinical & Diagnostic Research.

I passed my MBBS and MD (Community Medicine) from MLN Medical College, Allahabad, U.P. in 2000 and 2005 respectively. After passing my MD, I worked as Assistant Professor in R. D. Gardi Medical College, Ujjain, M.P., from March 2006 to December 2006; thereafter I joined Eras’ Lucknow Medical College, Lucknow, UP and worked there as Assistant Professor from January 2007 to January 2008. I joined Rohilkhand Medical College & Hospital, Bareilly U.P as Assistant Professor in February 2008 and promoted to Associate Professor on April 2011 and Promoted to Professor on April 2014. And still have been working as Professor for more than 3 years. I am having 51 publications in National Journals and 3 publications in International Journal, all publications are indexed. My field of interest is nutrition & health, communicable diseases, STDs & HIV/AIDS and occupational health. I had successfully guided one undergraduate student for Short Term Studentship Project 2010 (ICMR). I guided 2 PGs (2014-17) for their thesis work successfully, I have been guiding 4 PG students as Chief Guide in their thesis for each sessions 2015-18, 2016-2019. I had successfully completed the basic course workshop in medical education technologies during 2-4 April 2012 at Regional Center KGMU, Lucknow, after that I became the resource person for the two Medical Education workshops held on 11-13 November 2013 and 14-16 January 2014 respectively at RMCH under Regional Center KGMU, Lucknow. The workshop was supervised by two MCI observers and “good” remark was given by both for my teaching skills.
