Ahmed El Hashash (Editor in Chief)

Professor Ahmed Hashash has completed his PhD from Manchester University, UK. He is a fellow of the California Institute of Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) and New York University Medical School (MSSM), USA. Prof. Ahmed Hashash worked as a senior biomedical research scientist at Mount Sinai School of Medicine of New York University and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. He was Assistant Professor and Principal Investigator of Stem Cell & Regenerative Medicine at Keck School of Medicine and Ostrow School of Dentistry of The University of Southern California, USA. In 2016, Prof. Hashash has joined The University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh Medical School-Zhejiang International Campus, (ZJU) as Tenure-Track Associate Professor and Senior Principal Investigator of Biomedicine, Stem Cell & Regenerative Medicine. He is also adjunct Professor at the School of Basic Medical Science and School of Medicine, Zhejiang University. Prof. Hashash has several breakthrough discoveries in genes/enzymes that control stem cell behavior and regenerative medicine. He has published more than 34 papers in reputed international journals and serving as an editorial board member of repute. Prof. Hashash has received several international awards and recognitions over the years, including being the nominee for the prestigious One-Thousand talent project prize (Zhejiang, China), and Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Science’s (KFAS) Prize in Applied Medical Sciences, and Manchester University Fellowship Award (UK). In, addiction, Prof. El-Hashash acts as a discussion leader at the prestigious Gordon Research Seminar/Conference in USA, and a Peer Reviewer/ International Extramural Review for The Medical Research Council (MRC) grant applications, London, UK. Yong Li (Editor in Chief)

Dr. Yong Li completed his medical education with both MD and Ph.D. degrees in China. He went to the Imperial College in London for his visiting fellow scholarship, and then he started his postdoc associated job in the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in 1999. He was appointed as a research assistant professor in 2002 and promoted to director of the molecular pathology laboratory and a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Orthopedics, Pathology, and Bioengineering of the University of Pittsburgh in 2005. Then he was appointed a laboratory director and Associate Professor of Center Stem Cell for Regenerative Medicine and Pediatric, Orthopedic and Internal Medicine of University of Texas Medical School at Houston in 2011. In the later 2017, he was invited to be a Senior Scientist and deputy director for Center for Regenerative Sports Medicine at Steadman Philipp on Research Institute (SPRI) at Vail, Colorado. Dr. Li has a lead on studies of stem cell regulations and applications, fibrosis prevention, genetic and epigenetic modifications and translational studies in the field of musculoskeletal regenerative medicine, and he has more than one hundred peer-reviewed publications and his team is well-founded through DOD and NIH grants. He owns thirty national and international awards, including the Michael Miller Young Investigator Award from UPMC. His laboratory has trained and is training more than fifty students, postdoctoral research fellows, and resident research fellows. He also was a student mentor of National Goldwater scholarship.

Dr. Wei Wu is an Associate Professor and Associate Department Chair in the Department of Toxicology at Nanjing Medical University, China, where he received his Ph.D. in Toxicology in 2012. He was a guest researcher at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) between 2017 and 2018. He is a member of different national and international societies in the fields of human reproduction and toxicology, and has received awards from many national societies for the originality and quality of his projects. He has a wide range of teaching and consulting experience, including in the area of toxicology.
